Separation, Divorce, Co-Parenting & Blended Family Counseling

Guidance for Couples on the Brink and needing Guidance in Coming to Decision

I help individuals and couples navigate separation, divorce, co-parenting challenges, and blended family life.

Compassionate support for every stage.

Relationships shift. Families change. Whether you’re ending a marriage, learning to co-parent, or navigating the complexities of blending families, these transitions can be painful and confusing—but they can also lead to healing, growth, and new beginnings.

I offer therapy for individuals and couples who are facing the challenges that come with separation, divorce, parenting after a breakup, and creating stepfamilies.

Separation and Divorce Counseling

The decision to separate or divorce is rarely simple. Even when it’s the right choice, it often comes with waves of grief, fear, anger, and uncertainty.

I support individuals and couples as they:

  • Process the emotional impact of the breakup
  • Understand the dynamics that led to the separation
  • Cope with grief, anger, or guilt
  • Create respectful communication through the transition
  • Begin to imagine and plan for life post-divorce

For some, this includes working together as a couple to thoughtfully end the relationship. For others, it’s a deeply personal journey of letting go and healing.

Co-Parent Counseling

When a romantic relationship ends but you share children, co-parenting becomes a new kind of partnership. It can be challenging to navigate strong emotions while also prioritizing your child’s needs—but it’s possible.

Co-parent counseling helps separated or divorced parents:

  • Improve communication and reduce conflict
  • Focus on the well-being of the child, even when tensions run high
  • Establish clear boundaries, routines, and expectations
  • Develop or refine parenting agreements
  • Navigate high-conflict situations with more calm and structure

Even if you’re not in agreement about everything, I help create a space where you can shift from reactive patterns into more cooperative, intentional parenting.

Blended Families Counseling

Blending families can bring joy—and also real challenges. When two households come together, there can be competing needs, parenting styles, and unresolved feelings from past relationships. It’s common for children and adultsto struggle with adjustment, identity, and boundaries.

In therapy, I work with individuals, couples, or whole families to:

  • Navigate the unique challenges of stepfamily roles
  • Build stronger communication and realistic expectations
  • Support children through transitions and loyalty conflicts
  • Balance the couple’s relationship with parenting responsibilities
  • Develop tools for unity while honoring different experiences and perspectives

No blended family is the same, and there’s no one-size-fits-all solution. Together, we’ll explore what works for your particular family system.
