Couples therapy (also known as relationship counseling or marriage counseling) is designed to help people improve their relationship. Whether you’re dating, engaged, married, or navigating separation, therapy offers a safe, neutral space to explore your challenges and reconnect with one another
As a licensed couples therapist, I have received Gottman and Developmental Model training. I offer a calm and neutral space where both partners feel safe expressing their thoughts and emotions. I work collaboratively with you to:
Many couples seek help for concerns regarding physical intimacy. I help couples address sexual concerns that may be affecting closeness and satisfaction. This can include mismatched desire, sexual pain, performance anxiety, changes related to life stages or health issues, and the impact of emotional disconnection on physical intimacy. In a safe, supportive space, we work together to understand the underlying factors and create strategies for improving both emotional and physical connection.
I am also experienced in working with LGBTQ+ couples as well as polyamorous and consensually non-monogamous relationships; my approach to couples counseling is inclusive and affirming.
I tailor sessions to your specific needs and goals, drawing from evidence-based techniques to help you make lasting, positive changes.
It is important to feel clear about what to expect from couples therapy and to be clear about your commitment to the process.
Please feel free to call me to discuss any part of the process.
